By accessing or using U.RW ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you do not have permission to access the Service.

2. Description of Service

U.RW provides URL shortening services that allow users to:

  • Create shortened URLs from longer URLs
  • Track analytics and statistics for shortened URLs
  • Generate QR codes for URLs
  • Access API for programmatic URL shortening
  • Manage and organize URLs through a dashboard

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

  • You must provide accurate and complete information
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service
  • You are responsible for maintaining account security
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • One person or entity may not maintain multiple free accounts

3.2 Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your password
  • All content posted and activity that occurs under your account
  • Restricting access to your account

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Available Tiers

  • Free: 5 random URLs, basic analytics
  • Premium ($21/year): 5 custom + 50 random URLs, advanced analytics
  • Ultra ($84/year): 25 custom + 250 random URLs, team features
  • Ultimate ($210/year): Unlimited URLs, API access, white-label options

4.2 Billing and Payment

  • Subscriptions are billed annually in advance
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days notice
  • No refunds for partial years
  • Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle
  • Non-payment may result in service suspension

5. Acceptable Use Policy

5.1 Prohibited Content

You may not use U.RW to shorten URLs that:

  • Contain illegal content or promote illegal activities
  • Infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Contain malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Promote hate speech, violence, or discrimination
  • Contain adult content without appropriate warnings
  • Facilitate phishing, fraud, or deception
  • Violate privacy or publicize private information
  • Promote spam or unsolicited commercial content

5.2 Prohibited Actions

You may not:

  • Attempt to bypass any Service limitations
  • Use automated systems to create bulk URLs without API access
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation
  • Sell, trade, or transfer your account
  • Use the Service for competitive analysis
  • Reverse engineer or copy Service features

6. API Usage

  • API access is available for Ultimate tier subscribers
  • API usage is subject to rate limits (50,000 requests/month)
  • API keys must be kept confidential
  • Excessive API usage may result in temporary suspension
  • We reserve the right to modify API functionality

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by U.RW and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7.2 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of URLs and content you submit
  • You grant us license to use, store, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service
  • You represent that you have rights to all content you submit

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy, which also governs the Site and informs users of our data collection practices.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

9.1 Service Availability

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
  • We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
  • We may modify or discontinue features without notice
  • We are not responsible for content accessed through shortened URLs

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, U.RW shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless U.RW and its affiliates from any claim, demand, damage, or loss arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you post or URLs you shorten

11. Termination

11.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

11.2 Termination by Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Conduct that harms other users or the Service
  • Prolonged inactivity (over 365 days for free accounts)
  • Request by law enforcement or court order

11.3 Effect of Termination

  • Shortened URLs may be deactivated
  • Account data may be deleted after 30 days
  • No refunds for unused subscription time
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Dispute Resolution

12.1 Informal Resolution

Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at [email protected].

12.2 Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. General Provisions

13.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

13.2 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or Service announcement. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13.3 Severability

If any provision of these Terms is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

13.4 Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and U.RW regarding the use of the Service.
